In the Autumn of 1993 We Recorded True Forever during the same recording session as Join Hands and recorded it all live as was the case for the aforementioned Join Hands. It came together in rehearsals and has quite a few component parts which all stemmed from the main verse chug riff. It truly examines the dexterity of us as a band as we change from normal time to double time and then to half time all in the space of about a minute and a half, and playing it live was a serious test of our ability to stay tight and to Rock like Muvva Fudgers whilst not missing a time change or the next riff cue. The Lyrics are based on my love of a Fantasy Goddess that and I quote “To me you’re the Face of Creation, Lives far beyond the Four Winds” and for whom I declare my “True Forever” love. But as a result of her being an unreachable Goddess. I cry in despair and say “I don’t want to live without you no more” over and over again. The band were by now getting frustrated at the lack of progress we had made in getting a deal or getting out on tour. Also Cecelia had become moody and detached and her mood swings started to irritate Jon and Rick at Rehearsals. We were still doing gigs and had become a monstrously good Rock band but cracks were appearing in our relationships, which inevitably blew up at Rehearsal when Jon and Cecelia had a heated exchange, which culminated in Jon announcing that he's quitting the band. We had one more show booked at the Marquee in Charing Cross Rd which we performed magnificently and then amid the inevitable tears and emotion we tragically ceased to exist.
